Welcome to the GWI Community!

Here at GWI Software, we are always looking for new ways to gather information from the help desk community. What better way then to start a blog?

The intent is to be able to throw out thoughts, ideas, concepts, etc. on the c.Support application and get feedback from those who work in the service desk industry. Or perhaps you have an idea on a feature you'd like to share - lets hear it.

This blog is open to all for reading, but for posting a comment, you will need to join the community. The process is simple - click on Join in the upper right hand corner and fill out the form.

  • SNMP Inventory scan improvement

    I have just upgraded to isupport v9.5 and was very exited to see an snmp scan feature. This would obviously let us scan all devices on our network not just windows machines. What would make this scan perfect would be an ability to choose custom SNMP OID's to scan for. Some control over what it scanned would be amazing. Its looking good though.

  • CMDB not yet ready for prime time

    The CMDB is so cumbersome to use. It seems you have create a CI then you have to create this and then you have to create that. just to do any CMDB it seems you have to go throught 5 or more screens or whatever (may be exagerrating here) but with the constant spinning wheel with anything you do its quite frustrating.     Is it just me or is iSupport is soooooooo sluggish My iis has 3 gigs of ram and only isupport on it. SQL server is 2008 R2 with 8 gigs of ram on it. Other web site and even sharepoint is not as slow as iSupport. Everything you do seem to generate the wheel turning and turning and turning and turning and finally.
