Copy and Paste into an Incident

We've noticed that when copy and pasting text taken from Outlook emails, what ever formatting it had is taken into the incident problem ticket.  When generating reports, that same formatting is causing formatting problems with spacing, different fonts, etc.

Can the plain text, HTML or Rich text formatting copy and paste feature be controlled in the Incident Managment section?

    Hi rnino,

There is a little confusion over here on this request.  Since you can copy text into that field and select the "copy as plain text" option, you can already facilitate reports without these formatting issues.  Are you wanting to keep the formatting in the description, but then wanting the formatting removed for reporting?

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi again rnino,

We were following up on this a bit more with our Support Team and apparently they understood a bit more what you were asking for here, and it is indeed a feature request.  I will pass it along to the Development Team.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Re: Copy and Paste into an Incident

When you bring up the right click menu you can select the plain text option, but when you just use the Ctrl+V it brings up a dialog box which asked do you want to include the formatting.  I say no but it still brings in the formatting.  Could the default paste but plain text with the use of the Ctrl+V?

    thank you.  Stan

Thanks for the additional information, Stan.  I'll pass that along too.
