    Customers View in 9.0

We just upgraded to 9.0, we were at 7.0 before.

I was trying to build an All Customers View, similar to the All Customers by Last Name View in 7.0, which grouped the Customers by their last name.

I was looking at the Customers Data Source, I saw Name (which is Last Name, First Name) as a field but I didn’t see Last Name or First Name as a separate field. Is there a way to get to these two fields or will this need to be a future request?

    Re: Customers View in 9.0

    Hi chilesju,

I have the "All Customers by Name" view in the version of iSupport I work in, and while it I think it does pull from the data source you noted ("Name") it displays the name as Last Name, First Name, so the net result is that you get "All Customers by Last Name."

If that doesn't help or answer your question, feel free to contact GWI Support at support@gwi.com or 360-397-1099.

    Best,
    Eric

    Re: Customers View in 9.0

That correct I created my own view for Customers; I was trying to replicate the view I always used in 7.0 which is All Customers by Last Name.

I just notice that the Last Name wasn’t a field in the Customers Data Source.

It’s nothing major I was just seeing if there was a way to get the Last name field or if this could possibly be added in a future request.

    Thanks

    Justin

     Hi Justin,

Look for the addition of first and last name fields within the view designer in an upcoming release.

    Thank you for your suggestion.
