    search options

    is there a way to search the resolution field in c.support 7.0?  I looked under Advanced and the only options are Assigee, Status, Prioritt, Date Opened, Company, Customer, and Description.

     Hello,

    The advanced search fields listed actually change based on the data that is displayed with the view you've selected.  If you choose a view that contains the resolution the resolution would be listed in the advanced search drop down list.  There aren't many views that contain the resolution field, but the All Incidents for Custom Reporting view does conatin the resolution field and it also has a lot of other fields so it's one of the best for advanced searching.  If you are an administrator you can also build your own custom views that contain the resolution field and these custom views will offer the same simple and advanced searching options that the standard views offer.

    Only columns included in the view currently selected are available in advance search because it only searches the results the currently selected view. The following views contain a resolution column.

    Incident :
    All Incidents for Custom Reporting
    All Incidents - Hierarchy Templates and Dynamic Hierarchies
    Closed Incidents by Closing Support Rep

    Archived Incidents:
    Archived Incidents by Support Rep Group and Assignee
    Archived Incidents by Number

    Problems / Known Errors:
    All Known Errors by Author
    All Known Errors by Date Created
    All Known Errors by Status and Assignee
    All Known Errors by Priority and Assignee
    All Known Errors by Category
    All Known Errors by Number
    All Known Errors by Author

    Knowledge:
    Knowledge - All Entries by Status
    Knowledge - All Approved Entries
    Knowledge - My Entries by Status
    Knowledge - All Entries by Category by Status
    Knowledge - All Approved Entries by Category
    Knowledge - All Entries by Rating
    Knowledge - All Approved Entries by Rating
    Knowledge - All Entries by Group Access by Status
